At the gates
I saw this wonderful little gate just off Biblioteksgatan in Stockholm, Sweden. The fencing and magpies (latin: pica pica) are all metalwork.

Objects of desire IV
The Eames Plastic
Side Chair is a contemp-
orary version of the legend-
ary Fiberglass Chair. It was produced in collaboration with Zenith Plastics for the Museum of Modern Art in New York's Low-Cost Furniture Design Competition and was the first industrially manufactured plastic chair.
Since the 1950s the organically shaped seat shell of the Plastic Side Chair has been combined with various bases and produced in the millions.
Need I say this is an object of great desire to me. I can easily visualize six of these around my superellipse dinner table... Oh, the little coathanger in the foreground brings a smile to my face whenever I see it. It's quite an affordable way to boost serotonin levels!

A microcompact home

The micro compact home (http://microcompacthome.com/company/)company have developed the m ch. It's along the lines of Werner Aisslinger's Loft Cube and both are something I'm extremely interested in. My ideal home is situated in a mid-sized city or perhaps within a 15 minute commute by bicycle, scooter or electric automobile. I have a vision of my Smart parked outside my tiny abode, with it's small garden including a khoi pond...

Bob Dylan in stockholm
I zipped up to Stockholm on a monday afternoon to see Bob Dylan live at Globen the same evening. What can I tell you? Surreal!
I really don't know whether the man is a geratric freakshow or a genius. I'm hoping for genius, with a minimalist streak. I'll have to check him out a bit more before I can pass verdict.
See video below.

This is just a random shot out of the car window on my drive home from work. Man, I'm lucky to be here! This planet is cool.

Billion Dollar Babies

Just a spot of fun: I know where I was on the 26th March, 1977! I was at Alice Cooper's "Welcome to my Nightmare Tour" at the Sydney Showground. I have vague memories of sitting on a picknick blanket on the grass, the air very Woodstock billowing clouds of ....weed!

Investment strategies
My investment strategy for the next decade, will be:
- Security companies
- Medicine/biotech
- Renewable energy
- Food solutions
- Greentech (such as waste management)
- Base metals
- Peer-to-peer (such as joint partnership with cottage industries in developing countries)
Sweden, Denmark, USA, Brazil, Venezuela, China, Great Britain, Australia, Thailand, Russia, Africa, India.
For Denmark, keeping it simple in the beginning is crucial. Therefore, I'd simply :
a) Take a closer look at Ratos. Their investments in Denmark are in the private-equity market.
b) There should be a market for bio-energy and windpower. I would look for direct investment in start-ups.
c) Just for fun, I'll be following this one: Kortnavn: ADSERV
ID: CSE41565
ISIN-KODE: DK0060086908
Handelspost: 500
Sektor: Advertising
Sektpr-ID: 25401010
DISCLAIMER: ALL THE ABOVE ARE MY OWN MUSINGS. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANYONE'S (ECONOMIC) GAIN OR LOSS OR OTHER REAL LIFE CHANGES BY FOLLOWING MY IDEAS, MUSINGS OR RAMBLINGS ON THIS BLOG.

Object of desire III
I don't know if it's Darth Vader exactly, but still pretty cool! I could well imagine having this parked om my driveway. Just imagine: Just as my neighbour gets into his 5-series BMW that costs him a fortune to maintain, I pop into this little pod, and zip away before he's even coaxed his huge auto out of the drive...
The only thing I don't like about it is the price tag. Costing SEK 139 000 is about 50 000 SEK too much. Sales would go through the roof if it cost less. Also, it has to be available with leather and suede interior...

Xmas present
Ok, here's at tricky one: Spot the Xmas present!
Hint: You can almost not see it.
Yes I know, that was easy. The Louis Ghost Chair by Philippe Starck is, at least in my eyes, a true icon. I'ts so cool that I will be sitting in it when I try to write that great new novel...

"Pippispresso" -designed for IKEA
I also designed this espresso-brewer in 1997! I think it took about 20 minutes... Then I sold it to IKEA, who've never put it into production. At least it made me a lot of money, then!

Just found some of my old designs
I attended a course in AutoCad and 3DStudioMax back in 1997. I designed these during a coffee-break. I couldn't do it as quickly now, but if anyone's interested in marketing these, I still have the original files.

Marooned on a sandy beach without my ship
Aye, there was a lot of sand! A great expanse, as a matter of fact. My parrot had flown it's coop, my ship had set sail without me an' just slipped o'er the horizon, and I felt like a pickled crab without a drink*. Anyways, I found myself gazing at the salty sea. What else could I do?
*(Pickled crabs like a stiff Mojito on occasion)

One Zoomer and a lot of sand
I rode my Zoomer (Honda Ruckus to all you americans) down to my
In-laws summer house, it's 100km one way. The distance is near perfect if you still want to keep just a little bit of cool upon arriving.
Anyhoo... I rode it onto the beach. Looked at the little quaint village at the far end of it, looked at the sea, smelled the breeze... Yep, a zen kind of moment can be had rather quick!
A silly little film about tuning, rainy weather and
speed. Soundtrack by my musical guru Brian Eno

Celebrating Helsinki 458:th anniversary
This was my view from the dictatoresque waving-balcony on City Hall, Helsinki. I think the gentlemen in the foreground are Thai diplomats.
This was a genuinely surreal experience. I was attending by special invitation only, but I could not understand a single word anyone was saying. There was a cold platter buffé with fish of every imaginable variety, an unending supply of champagne...
I left the party with my brain trying to make connections to David Lynch movies. I walked home to my luxury hotel, housed in a former prison.
The windows in my room were seven feet up, and the walls seven feet thick.
I slept, well.

If I were dreaming my life

This is one of the things I covet; A Smart Passion with leather interior, either the diesel or the hybrid engine, five-spoke mag wheels...
I wouldn't mind having the cabriolet version either, but I'm so in love with the glass roof!
If I really need to have a car, this one would be the most sensible choice for me.

Brand new state of mind
The final countdown finally ended (inevitably) at the big oh. Zero never felt better! Only minutes after leaving my latest mission and stepping out of the car outside my home, I had all the trouble in the world keeping a straight face until out of sight! Once around the corner, I just laughed out loud. Fuck, am I a lucky man to get out of that one alive!
Anyway, my way of relaxing is to cook. Salmon with saffron and coconut, some sweet potato and a sallad on the side with ruccola, grapefruit, sugarsnaps and sunflower seeds. One or two Red Stripe as you let rip in the kitchen is alright.
So, all I have to do now is eleven new things during the next two weeks. This will get my head screwed back on properly.

Utterly wanting to be somewhere else
Thou shalt not, fucking...complain! This is the first commandment. Still, there is reason to.
The cool part about this brand new year, is that it ends with an eight (8). As we all know, eight is the luckiest number of all. Just as being a dragon is the luckiest thing you can be. Lucky me, then that the year 2008 is a Chinese Brown Earth Rat Year.

The seat of power
Imagine all the souls who have stood in this spot, looking in the same direction as I was when I took this picture. A hundred years ago, there wasn't as much light as there is now, and the place smelled to high heaven of rotting fish, dumped on the quay by fishing boats moored just below the lion's grand posture.

Here, Kitty!

This was going to be a post on a heavy subject. But then, what would be the point?
I realized that it's better to be positive and proactive. Thus, I'm pleased to announce that my family has a new member! Yep, that's her on the right.

In my bubble between trees
I just drove, tried not to think to deeply. Sadness welled up inside me. So I didn't. Think too much, that is.
Instead, I watched the brilliant trees. They were covered in powdery snow, as though dusted with sugar. I tricked myself into joyousness, almost bliss there, for a while.
Life is strange. I've got to immerse myself in it and do a bit of catching up.

Fishy evidence
What goes in the bag, stays in the bag. Or does it?
What's he on about? Why is he in the car?
Why is this posted on a blog, and why do you think I'm watching this?
I thought I was someone else.

Panerai
I just can't let it go. Yes, I know it's totally unneccesary but, there it is! The Panerai 's just one of those things, you know? It has that alluring style and quality that fits right in just anywhere.

Screwy chic
Yes, I do like these lamps a lot! It's something about the... ahh, latent v
iolence.
This is definitely something I would have in my palace, were I a third world dictator. I would actually like it in my living-room anyway, but the price-tag is a bit....much. It really would be cheaper to just buy an illicit AK47 and dip it in gold yourself!
Hmm...!

Guess the spot
This is one of my favourite views. I like the facade, the choice of roofing material and how the whole thing is situated. Some of the corners are too
aggressive to suit my taste, but imperfection is dynamic.
From this viewpoint, there is an even more interesting building behind your back.

Dub

Today is tuesday. Just three more days to friday. Oh, happiness! I will compile a CD with dub, get a dozen Red Stripe and spend a slow, langorous afternoon drifting into early evening cooking in my kitchen. Coconut and fish, small pizzas for the kids and something with lots and lots of chili.

Full sleeve
As you already know, having read every posting on this blog, I like art.
Now, what better way to appreciate art than carrying it around on you? Thus, I've developed an (unhealthy?) interest in personal adornment by way of getting more* tattoos.
So, how about I do one arm full sleeve? Something like Russel Mitchells arm (see pic) perhaps?
*Yes, I do have one already. It's just like the one most every other person seems to have nowadays; A small one, often done in tribal black with some obscure meaning to the person wearing it.

Lots of trees and some fresh air
I spent this sunday afternoon in the woods with at least part of my family. I brought along my standard issue army survival knife. It's the black one with a built in whistle and fire-steel. Pretty handy, as I used it to start a campfire for burning our sausages and marshmallows into inedible crisps...
I came home smelling like an arsonist. the sausages were good, though!

If you are done with all those fashionista goggles by Prada and whatever... Go for the original, ultracool shades that will match your F-16 just perfectly. Ray-Bans? Nooo! They're from Randolph Industries, silly!

5 days later
So I think spring may come soon. It's cold as hell right now but there's something in the air. Finally moved in to our v e r y b i g apartment. Feels good.
I like cooking in my new kitchen, but I miss a fan over the stove, but will solve that issue soon.
